Rottweiler Training?

We have a Rottweiler dog and needs to be trained. Basically, not to beg for food (hard because each one gives your table dinner, but we ask that atleast not for me) and when / where not to attack. Tends to be very violent and I do not know when to stop, hit (not hard) and so style that gets its most violent, pushing and making things worse:). Finally, have a food problem. If you approach her when she was tasting as a bone Nice, or something like that pig's ear () then growl if finally reach close. Any advice for training before you reach age?
