Boxer Rebellion?

What were the causes and results of the Boxer Rebellion? I want enough information to fill two pharagraphs. List of good sites that have relevant information. THANK YOU!

I just wrote an article on this topic. Some historians BR attributing the decades of European imperialism, but in reality was only one aspect of the causes of the BR. A number of historians (including William Duiker and Paul Cohen) identify the root cause of bad weather. Duiker shows that the central and northern China (BR began in the north) are particularly affected by adverse weather conditions. From 1898, Climate and floods in the Yangtze valley cereal crops destroyed and made millions homeless. The Yellow River flooded every year since 1896 and several provinces have experienced a severe drought in spring 1900. These events led to famine. Hunger with Western imperialism has led to the BR. Duiker and Cohen think that hunger was the greater cause. Duiker said the adverse weather conditions in China have always led to rebel against the established order and 1900 was no exception. In fact, the Chinese, who were very superstitious (at that time), said that foreigners are to blame for the time and had to be euthanized later. They thought that the construction of railroads and telegraph lines disturbed the spirits of the dead were buried. Hope this helps.

Edward John Dent was born in London on 19. August 1790. His baptism took place at St. Clement Danes Church in the 18th. October of that year. St. Clement Danes, though of course, is famous song by song, "Oranges and lemons.

John Wright Dent, his grandfather took him under contract as an apprentice when he was fourteen. The old Dent is a manufacturer of candles and under the terms of the law, had to find a home for your child breakfast. Ended up living with his cousin, Richard Rippon, who made a name for himself as a watchmaker.

Dent Young was absolutely fascinated by this and his grandfather was convinced to transfer the balance of his apprenticeship to Mr. Rippon, so Edward could pursue his interest in watchmaking. We know that supplied the Admiralty with a standard astronomical clock, and even made a pocket watch to the Colonial Office to help his African expedition. It was in 1814, and this time, although he made a series of clocks and timers, was unable to catch enough for a life dignity.

During the next fifteen years, he worked for a number of businesses, not least Callum Brothers Castle Street. In 1826, Dent should have been fifty-five timers, as it sends the numbers 54 and 55 for trial in Greenwich. This has caused the Royal Observatory to take cognizance of it, and in 1828 used to care for his watch collection.

This exercise was repairs and their timing. Astronomer of the time, pond-Jean, was so impressed by the work that Dent said he considered "one of the top performers of today."

In 1830, he formed a partnership with John Roger Arnold, great son of John Arnold. The winner was a year after his marine chronometer, number 114, was declared the Prize of the first premium Minutes of the meeting of annual session timer.

Originally, Dent had just heard about an opening for a skilled craftsman Arnold, but in the event, ended up as a partner. John Arnold was then sixty, and decided into semi-retirement. Dent was a business class first, and the company went from strength to strength.

In 1831, Dent chronometer 633 along with a number others, sailed aboard the HMS Beagle, Charles Darwin.

Unfortunately, in 1840 the firm of Dent and Arnold was dissolved. Dent has opened his own company, EJ Dent 82 Strand. He applied for a patent in March 1842, entitled "certain improvements in chronometers and other Chronos. He was particularly interested in the invention of the liquidation for use in watches.

January 1843 opened its second store at 33 Cockspur Street. Earlier, when he was in partnership with Arnold, which was presented to great Abraham-Louis Breguet, in which Arnold had served as an apprentice in Paris. The store has sold a number of Breguet watches and chronometers Dent, of course.

1852 saw what was perhaps his greatest triumph, the Commission for the Big Ben. Most unfortunately, however, died young 8. March 1853 at the age of sixty-two years before completing

16 years I lived happily with my eyes and ears open and wide knowledge, for many chips, a couple of sores, and love. I have a life good and hopefully make things a little easier along the way, I want to share something with you. (No chips!) My personal two tabs means to me …

Now there are all sorts of creatures in question, especially outside your door. I lived near wood, so I learned very quickly the details of all the creatures that lived near my house. You'll have to explore some of these on their own, but here's what I've learned so far …

First, moles do not hold well when you try to play with them. For younger dogs, that could work well, but 32 pounds of me was too much for these guys little difficult. One or two legs on the head and over. Capita. It's no fun.

Raccoons do not play fair at all. It took me a plate of my ear when I tried playing with her. Both my legs assistant things that I like, but put it in my ear and mouth sores, front leg, back and legs really sore in the chest. I to endure a couple of days until they stopped doing it for me. Try to avoid or raccoon, for this question. It healed quickly and I must say that I returned to play again before I saw the raccoon rear washer. Hmphh.

The other creature is to avoid the really bad black and white kitten with strong perfume. If you get near one of these people who will probably give you a bath in tomato juice. I tried to catch a tomato, an old time when I was a puppy and does not turn so well, I never thought you should take a bath in these things!

The first time that some of the perfume Kitty black and white that I thought I felt good. My person is not agreed and I had the tomato juice bath. My skin was burning pain after that, and I felt like Kitty in black and tomato juice, so she gave me another bath in the little things that made the burning go away. Too bathroom for my taste.

The time that followed I tried to do something of this beautiful fragrance, I took a bath in a private home, the recipe makes …
1 / 4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon of detergent to wash the dishes of tea
and 1 liter bottle of hydrogen peroxide.
I was completely soaked in the field and missing all my perfumes, but I had my skin burns like tomato juice and I do not endured a bath.

In what will drive the rabbits, be careful. They tend to stop in the middle of a good hunt. One day, I was so funny when suddenly the damn thing stopped on a dime. I have not had time to stop, so I found, which fell on and came across the beast with a little disoriented slight pain in the hip. Save yourself embarrassment when you have to hunt to keep a safe distance for rabbits.

The birds always fly far to not waste energy good for them, but rather use them as an enjoyable pastime. Chipmunks and squirrels climb trees so you're not funny for long. Snakes are sneaky and really long items can be surprisingly fast-moving so you better stay away from the company, unless the same quickly.

Marmot always have a hiding place on earth, but after sinking two legs wizard can not love, especially if half of the flat green. If you dig a hole in the woods after them can not even notice that you have what is right.

Cats, however, are fair game. (No offense the cat lovers out there, but I'm a dog. Come on!) Some cats just Hissy and some climbed trees, but most are worth a good later career. Its good to run for fun daily.

Speaking of the race, I now self. Maybe I'm in the woods and digging marmots Chase because is good for you too!
