pomeranians

Pomeranians have a small mouth and teeth and Itty Bitty, but do not wish for them properly can cause serious health problems for your dog.

The disease oral in dogs may cause serious health problems that the bacteria from infected gums and teeth can "spread" to other parts of the body and affect organs vital as the heart, kidneys and intestines. Tarter or soft starts the calculation, but may harden in dog teeth. Once cured, can not be erased, but requires a reduction in dental as you dentist's chair! If teeth are not treated buildup can cause gums to become inflamed and can also cause infections serious.

Does Your Pom are bad teeth?

Pomeranians are prone to dental problems. The buildup of plaque and tooth loss can be severe and cause problems with your daily routine. To see if your dog has bad teeth, lift the lips and check his teeth into the gum line – you can see Tarter? Are teeth white or discolored? Does your breath smell? Are there broken teeth?

All these factors may indicate the need to improve the care of teeth dog. Your veterinarian will probably do a dental exam as part of its annual report, and can advise on the extent of problem, if any.

Provide better dental care Pomerania

Bones

Chewing on raw bones can be a good way for your dog to remove built but have Tarter Poms mouth very small and can not chew on real bones, so you can try one of the bones that are manufactured specifically manufactured for dogs dental care. I would advise against cooked bones because they can damage gums and Splinter or intestines if ingested.

Brushing your teeth Poms

Brushing teeth is a vital part of taking care of teeth and dog must be at least once a week, preferably daily. There are plenty of flavored toothpastes formulated for your pet dogs like the taste. You can use a brush finger (a piece of rubber that sticks to the tip of your finger with bristles), a hand brush that looks like the rights of a toothbrush, or a small brush that fits after a "ring" that you put in your finger. My Pomeranian is extremely small and I found with the "ring" brush works best for me.

Scale

This procedure is performed by your veterinarian and is about the same as increasing the dentist. The teeth are scraped and polished and any loose or damaged teeth removed. Your dog is anesthetized for this procedure and is very expensive. A good brushing reducing the need for this to be done.

How Your Pomerania used for brushing

While Italian is better to start when a puppy, Italian is not too late for older Pom to get good dental hygiene! Start slowly, perhaps with a little toothpaste on your finger so you can be licked (my dog likes the taste!). Be sure to use a special paste for dogs and not humans human toothpaste toothpaste can be dangerous for your pet. You can a paste from your vet that has enzymes that help fight bacteria. She also wished youÂ'll a soft brush to avoid damaging the gums.

Take one day at time and slowly get the dog used to you touching his head and open mouth. Each day, try to go one step closer to his mouth open, then touch the teeth and gums. Use your index finger and the introduction of the brush later. This may be the AA bonding time for you and your dog – the time of his pet may even look forward to brushing your night! Forgot Your Pom which is very low if you want Dona't some bushes and the pain of a dog-only brush gently.
You should try brushing your dog's teeth daily or at least every two days for the board does not have the opportunity to harden. While this may seem like a task, consider it a medical necessity for your pet.

Frequent brushing and proper dental care can add years to your life Poms!

Pomerania aggressive? Please help, we need a solution?!?

We have a female pom that is a little over a year. For us and family, she is beautiful, but she is very protective. If someone elses dog jumps on me with joy, will growl and jump on them – you can start playing with the dog as it does with the dogs, who is their friend as she has rarely encountered. The worst problem is that when some people are inclined to touch her, she growls, grunts and back! It becomes a problem because we have a competitive training quickly (take us to obedience classes) and a test that the examiner is to check above the dog. No one likes to be manipulated by others, will be a failure if it rumbles instant too! Thanks to people who know (mostly), which is Bell wants to see, and go dancing around the place but it is only when foreigners want Pat to become a problem. Any advice if you please?

What's your obedience training do you recommend? The trainer / behaviorist should help this is what you paid!
